Keighley Cricket Club is now part of the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme… We need your vouchers!

Please hand the vouchers in at the club or to Ross Towler.

What's Active Kids all about.

Since its launch in 2005, the aim of Active Kids has remained unchanged: to help teachers, leaders and coaches inspire and motivate young people to get active and be healthier by providing equipment and unique experiences for them to enjoy.

Look out for Active Kids 2010.

Active Kids is now all set for its sixth phenomenal year. Over the last five years schools, Scout and Guide groups have benefitted from an incredible £86 million worth of active equipment and experiences! So why not join in, and make sure your club claims its share of the great stuff on offer.

It's so simple to take part.

From 17th February to 8th June 2010, Sainsbury's shoppers can earn Active Kids vouchers for every £10 they spend in a main store (or every £5 spent in Sainsbury's Locals), at Sainsbury's petrol stations or online at sainsburys.co.uk. These vouchers can be donated to your club for you to redeem for any of the products featured in the Active Kids 2010 catalogue.

Fundraising

Your club needs you!  Are you interested in being part of a fundraising team at Keighley Cricket Club?  We are looking for dedicated and committed people to help organise a number of events through the year, including race nights, sponsored walks, golf days, car washes and raffles.

If you feel you could help, in any way, please contact Ross Towler (ross.towler@talk21.com) or Stuart Bottomley (stuart.bottomley@kone.com).  It costs almost £4,000 a year to host 1st XI and 2nd XI games alone so, as you can imagine, we need to bring money into the club on a regular basis.  Your support, as always, is much appreciated.

Many thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sportsmans Dinner

Keighley Cricket Club would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the Sportsman's Dinner on Friday 19 March, where a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all. Paul Merson delivered an outstanding speech, full of honesty, amusing anecdotes and fascinating tales from his life on and off the pitch.

Comedian, Mike Farrell was superb and had everyone roaring with laughter, whilst our excellent MC, Jerry Earl, made sure the night ran smoothly. Thanks to Shane Whitford, of Soccer Speaker and to all the team at Bradford City Football Club and EMC for providing such a successful event. Keighley Cricket Club would also like to extend a special thanks to Northern Installations for their generous sponsorship of the event.
