Simon Bailey
LH Bat RH Off Break
In his second season at Keighley , ‘Bails’ had a very good first year with bat and ball. He’s a big hitter with a great eye. However his only downfall is he can be a bit of a badger and has recently had the misfortune of his razor cutting out whilst shaving leaving him looking like a 70’s porn star.
Matthew Bottomley
RH Bat RH Very Quick
‘Botty’ who opens the batting for Keighley is a stylish and fluent player. Although he doesn’t bowl he still maintains that he is an out and out quick bowler. “Don” is also the teams’ fine master and it has come to the attention of the team that since taking on this role he has come into new found wealth, this is felt to be no coincidence in other words the team is accusing him of robbing his team mates. .
Max Davidson
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
Talented young cricketer with a promising future. Usually an excellent fielder but has forgotten to bring his radar back from university (or sold it for alcohol) He also unfortunately owes ‘Bails’ money for breaking his razor when borrowing it to tackle his monobrow. .
Liam Dyson
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
When ‘Dys’ is not racking up the runs for Keighley you’ll often see him down the dairy pulling on an udder or two. He’s a laid back lad which translates into his style of play. He’s a patient and technically correct batsmen who is excellent at building an innings. Recently turned 21, ‘Farmer’ is a growing lad but due to recent events of his birthday night out he is in need of stocking up on dry nights instead of using the corner of his bedroom. .
Paul Quinlan
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
Quinny is a free minded lad in more ways than one. A gifted cricketer who has had a good season for KCC. Known as a bit of a space cadet, he often comes out with interesting comments, which can leave the rest of the team in disbelief such as ‘how high did that go’ and ‘why don’t I get any signal on my mobile when there’s telephone wires over there’. .
Steve Reape
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
'Reapey', KCC's team captain can be described as a gritty and uncompromising player. He's an experienced veteran of the Bradford league which has helped him in becoming an excellent leader. Steven 'Jardine' Reape is usually a very reserved character but is known to spit the dummy when it comes to receiving the Gnome of the Week T-shirt. .
Ash Robinson
RH Bat RH Leg Break
‘Buffet’ is a key member in the team for motivation with quotes such as ‘get your game face on’ and ‘ lets ruin this guys weekend’ (bad banter). A real favourite with players, wives and girlfriends but only for the reason that he owns his own baby accessory business. He has the ability to turn batsmen inside out with his leg spinners and is an exceptional fielder. .
Richard Robinson
LH Bat RH Off Break
An integral part of the 1st team, ‘Robbo’ can change the face of a game with either his lusty blows or economical bowling. Besides from his cricketing ability, Richard has many interesting past times which includes his love for music and all things with a rhythm. .
Ross Towler
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
‘Rosco’, often regarded as a talisman within the team leads from the front and is very proud to play for Keighley. He’ll run in all day for the team with maximum effort and motivation. He doesn’t have a bad word to say about anyone and this is highlighted when Ross is socialising , especially with opposition spectators. As a result he can be missing for hours at a time. (big fines) .
Andy Waggett
RH Bat RH Seam Bowler
Waggy has excelled at opening the batting throughout the season with his aesthetically pleasing technique. A cool customer who never gets phased on or off the field. One of his idols is Rocky Balboa and has been known to replicate some of his famous scenes. Often reserved on the field ‘Rocky’ has become Merv Hughes like when communicating with the opposition. .
Paul Kegsey Hudson
Team Manager
The man who holds the team together. ‘Kegsey’ has the responsibilities of ensuring players are on time, kept hydrated and well equipped. However on several occasions his commitment this season has been questioned with sub standard performances with water bottles and tea lists. Regardless of these major hiccups we can always rely on him to be supportive in “any” situation the players find themselves in.
